Google toolbar

The features available on this page are experimental and probably still have a few rough edges. However, we encourage you, the adventurous Google Toolbar user, to play around with them and share your experiences with us at toolbar-feedback@google.com.

The more prosaic features are controlled by the main Google Toolbar options page.

Combined Search button

The Combined Search button is a great way to conserve real estate on your Toolbar while still retaining access to all the different ways there are to search using Google. Simply enter search terms in the search box and click on the main part of the button to search, or click the little triangle on the right-hand end of the button to bring down a menu of different search types.

Combined Search button - Combines many search buttons into one. With the Combined Search button present, you'll probably want to turn off all the other search buttons.

Keep the last search done with the Combined Search button as the default

Browser control

The onUnload JavaScript event is most often used to open pop-up windows as you leave a page, which can be an annoyance. The following feature will clear the onUnload event after loading each page.

Suppress the onUnload JavaScript event

Navigation

The Next and Previous result buttons allow you to quickly navigate among the results from the last Google search you performed. For example, you might perform a search and click the first result link and surf around for a while, then click the "Next" button to see the second result.
