What's New in 2007?

We have added some new extensions to the Google Custom Button format, supported first in Toolbar 5 for Internet Explorer.

Add a gadget to your custom button

• New <gadget> element.
• Gadgets can receive the current page's host, url, search query, or selected text.
• Gadgets can resize and save preferences.
• New whole-dropdown feature to simplify button.

New feed operations

• Feeds can display status text next to the button, even when button text is off.
• Feeds can alert the user with a passive tooltip and flashing icon.
• Feed menus can have a separator.
• Feed icons can use a url as well as base64 text.

New look

• Simplified whole-dropdown button styles.
• Larger button mode overlay icons.
